Gas Fire Pits are a great way to add style, comfort and warmth to your patio. Gas fire pits have many advantages over a wood fire pit. They are easy to start. You can adjust the flame to add or reduce the heat. They are easy to extinguish the fire, turn the knob to off. They don't require clean up. Everytime you use a wood fire pit, you have to clean up after it as cooled down. No need for a spark screen since no embers are produced. Less smoke to deal with. These are just some of the advantages and more.

Unfortuneately, there also are some disadvantages. Usually the gas fire pits are bigger than the wood. Some gas models only accept propane fuel while other only except natural gas and some will take either with some modifications. Please be sure to check with your owners manual. Gas fires just do not have the same smell as a wood fire pit. But for these few disadvantages shouldn't out weigh the positive.
