Perhaps
you are the type of person who can’t wait for the first day
of summer. You’ve dragged through a long winter and now that
the warm sun is here, you are going to lay on your outdoor lounge
chairs and enjoy it.
While this frame of mind is not a bad one to have, it can prove to
be dangerous. That is because people sometimes are so excited to see
the sun that they tend to forget to use sun block as they venture
outdoors. It’s not hard to see why. For the first few hours,
there is nothing as nice as sitting in your chair and soaking in the
sun.
However, after the initial warmth has worn off, you will find yourself
burnt and miserable. There are three ways that you can avoid this.
Umbrellas -- Some chairs actually have small umbrella holders that
are sold along with them. Getting something like this to shade you
from the sun can let you enjoy the outdoors, but not get hurt while
doing so.
Sun block – Wear it. It’s pretty simple. By wearing and
re-applying as needed, you can spend a lot of time in the sun without
having to worry about regretting it that night or for the next few
days.
Moderation – Just because the sun has finally come out, that
doesn’t mean that you have to soak it all up in one day. Remember
to give your skin a break. Go inside for a while. You’ll be
glad you did.
Doing one or all three of these things will allow you to better enjoy
the summer in your outdoor lounge chairs without having to deal with
a sunburn that makes being outside miserable.
