Imagine
the a cool summer breeze blowing through your hair as you lay in your
hammock slowly swinging back and forth while the sun warms your skin.
It’s like bringing an island vacation to your backyard. This
is the life when you own a hammock.
Rope hammocks are made of polyester, cotton, or Duracord. Cotton
is soft and comfortable and well priced; however, it dries slowly.
So curling up in your hammock a day after a rain storm will leave
you wet. Polyester rope wears well in all weather conditions. It's
resistant to mold and mildew which is great if you plan to leave your
hammock out in the rain. Duracord is soft like cotton but is much
more durable. It is stain and mildew resistant and comes in different
colors which won’t fade from sun exposure. There are also single
layer hammocks or quick drying hammocks which are designed to dry
fast which is good for poolside hammocks or hammocks that will be
left outside year long. All hammocks no matter what material can be
washed with soap and water.
Unlike fabric hammocks, rope hammocks allows for the wind to blow
through which is both relaxing and necessary in the hot summer months.
Also, a rope hammock conforms to your body making it extraordinarily
comfortable. Add a pillow for an afternoon nap on a lazy summer day.
Hammocks can be hung in between two trees or on a hammock stand.
Both work great. When hanging a hammock be sure to pull it tight.
It may seem too snug at first but it will stretch with use.
Hammocks are easy to put up and take down and fold up easily for convenient
storage. Most can seat two adults. Be careful when entering and exiting
a hammock because it can flip out from underneath you and you’ll
wind up with a mouth full of dirt.
A rope hammock is extremely relaxing, affordable, and easy to clean
and store. It is sure to add instant tranquility to your backyard
and bring you years of enjoyment.
